Imagine this scenario:
You are a newly promoted manager. You were a valuable contributor in your team, a knowledgeable specialist, and you were entrusted to manage a small team of 3 people. You discover on the way that managing is quite different than doing the job yourself. You need to coordinate the whole activity, people in your team have all kinds of struggles and they come to you for help, you are responsible for the results of the entire team now and others.
You feel proud, excited, empowered, but also anxious and lonely because you don’t know how to lead a team. You have so many questions but nobody to discuss them with.
I am offering to be your conversation partner.
Career coaching is a form of support for experienced people who need career guidance or support in overcoming a career challenge. Learning lays at the foundation of a successful career coaching process. In practice it means that you can learn that there are more ways to look at a challenge, you can learn to develop different strategies to interact with people and you can learn that there is often a 3rd option which you are not seeing.
While this kind of innovation in the way you approach challenging situations can feel uncomfortable on the way, the focus of the coaching relationship is always the well-being of the client. The coaching relationship between coach and client is based on trust and mutual respect.
What is happenning in a session?
A career coaching session is a discussion in which we will use powerful questions to reach to the core of your situation, combined with exercises, psychometric tests, questionnaires, and other tools. The purpose of all the techniques is to get you out of your comfort zone and support you to reach your potential. I will follow your objective for each session and adapt the tools to your personal style and needs.
But a powerful coaching session is not only about the technique, it’s also about us sharing an authentic presence, being honest, curious, and non-judgmental.
